Director and Founder of Impilo. Sue has a social work degree from Wits university. She has been involved in the field of adoption since 1988. She is the vice chair of the National Adoption Coalition. Her passion is to ensure that children do not stay in the system longer than necessary and grow up in families
Greg started at Impilo as a volunteer and then joined the staff. Greg holds an Honours Degree in International Affairs from Wits University. Greg is manages our systems and compliance. He has over 20 years experience in management. While not at work at Impilo Greg is an avid race walker and loves spending time in the bush.
Leeat joined Impilo in 2013. She is a registered counselor. One of the projects which
Leeat manages is our Mpepu project. Leeat is passionate about attachment and bonding theories and the implementation in the work that we do. She manages the team of 9 caregivers
Pam joined Impilo in 2015, with 35 years of adoption experience. She manages a team of 6 social workers and social auxiliary workers. Pam is passionate about all areas of adoption.
Shany started as our receptionist, studied social auxiliary work and is now the coordinator of the inter country program and assists with reporting to DSD. Shany brings determination and drive to Impilo and she is passionate about the children we care for.
Chimwemwe is a social worker focusing on statutory services. She also has a degree in nursing . She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children that she works with.
Talia has been at Impilo since 2015. Talia primarily works with our refugee communities assisting with documentation, family preservation and placing children in need of care. Talia represents Impilo under the Johannesburg child advocacy forum. She is the social worker for SAABI assisting with child abuse . In 2017 Talia became one of our Adoption Social worker.
Tafadzwa has been at Impilo since 2016. She is our intake worker
Tau started work at Impilo in 2017. He currently is situated at our Sedibeng office in Walkerville.
Portia has been at Impilo since 2015. She is currently our Receptionist and loves to greet people with a smile. Portia is passionate about going to Church.
Connie has been at Impilo since 2005. She is very friendly and warm to everyone that comes into Impilo. She is passionate about her kids.
Ntombi has been at Impilo since 2014. Ntombi is very caring towards all our special needs children. She is passionate about giving extra love to our special needs children.
Tatenda started at Impilo in 2017. She is our new Adoption Social worker and is excited about her opportunity to work in this field.
Zodwa has been working at Impilo for 8 years she started as a relief worker and in 2013 Zodwa was promoted to Senior Caregiver. Zodwa is passionate about people and has a great sense of humour.
Daniel is our dependable driver. He is in early and leaves late. Daniel is passionate about Mozambique where he comes from and where his family stays.
Lyvonia has been at Impilo since 2011. She is young and full of energy. She is passionate about her new Husband and Daughter.
Shirley started working at Impilo on 01 February 2010 as a receptionist, working and supporting the staff within the organization. In August 2015 Shirley completed her Diploma in Social Auxiliary and in 2016 started to work at Impilo as a social Auxiliary worker. Shirley is very passionate about working with and counselling birth mothers.
Agnes has been at Impilo since 2003 she has been our longest staff member. Agnes loves going to Church and is passionate about singing.
Jacobeth has been at Impilo since 2004. She is a very hard worker. She walks to work every day from Stop 12 (Midrand). She is passionate about getting the children to play outside.
Philly has been at Impilo since 2015. She is always busy with investigation work. She is very friendly and has an amazing way with people.
Joyce has been at Impilo since 2014. She has had a long career caring for the elderly and loves working with our babies. Joyce is passionate about stimulation.
Fridah has been at Impilo since 2006. She is a very hard working reliable person. She is very funny and is passionate about making people laugh.
